Katherine Du Tiel has recently completed her MA in photography at the San Francisco Art Institute where she is now a visiting faculty.
Her work has appeared on Public Affairs Television, in Parenting Magazine and can be seen in San Francisco Nudes (Seibundoshinkosha, 1995). She also worked on the Cher catalog of gothic furnishings and fashion.
In the current edition of See magazine, Michael Read wrote "Katherine Du Tiel's interest in human anatomy has resulted in perverse images of the body's vulnerability. Her human specimens are turned inside out, utterly exposed to the clinical gaze of the camera."
Katherine is starting work on a new series of un-self portraits which will continue to dissect body issues, and we hope to use more of her work in the future.
She is represented by Catherine Clark Gallery (formerly Morphos Gallery), 49
Geary, San Francisco, CA 94108.
